Korean skincare is slowing become a trend everywhere with their unique routines which include multiple products such as cleansers, masks, essence. Cleansing is an important step which kickstarts the routine. So what are the main features to Korean skincare?
1. Double Cleansing
Most of us probably cleanse with a wash once, but an important part of Korean skincare is double cleansing. What is double cleansing? Double cleansing is the first step to Korean skincare which is a two-step routine that starts with an oil cleanser, which is then followed by a foaming or water-based cleanser.
This allows you to remove the build up of sebum, makeup and all sorts of dirt. The result of double cleansing helps prevent the chance of any skin issues, such as acne, dry skin and the worst, huge pores!

2. MASKS
From sleeping masks to sheet and clay masks, masks just seems to be a favourite for everyone as it provides moisturization, relaxation and pore treatment. It also rejuvenates and cleanses the skin, leaving us with lovely glowing skin!
Nowadays a variety of designs have popped up and masks are becoming more and more popular with their multiple functions! Popular mask brands would be TonyMoly, The Face Shop, Skin Food, Aritaum, Dr Jart and many more.

3. Sunscreen
Korean Skincare is about looking after our skin and keeping it as healthy as possible. Sunscreen is usually seen in every possible cosmetic product. Applying sunscreen on a daily basis helps protects the skin from UV rays that would lead to the development of sun spots, damaged skin and in worser cases, skin cancer.
Products that usually contain SPF are compact cushions, most BB creams and balms. Korea has produced some of the most convenient ways carry sun block as they can come in small tubes or bars that are travel friendly and inexpensive. Popular brands with travel friendly sunblock would be Etude House, Innisfree, Nature Republic, IOPE, Neogen and MISSHA.
