3CE Lip Lacquer Review

3CE Lip Lacquer Review

3CE is by far one of my favourite Korean brands, especially due to its packaging which holds a special place in my heart. If anything, Stylenanda's cosmetic brand really hits the nail when it comes to lip products, and so being reviewed is the 3CE Lip Lacquer.

The Product

The lip lacquer I have here (borrowed from Jessica) is in the colour Desert Flower. From what you can see, it's a very purple/plum shade and sets into a velvety, cashmere texture rather than full matte like most liquid lipsticks. The lip lacquer also comes in several other colours such as your classic red in Fever and your nudes in Bon Bon. The range of these colours allows for both day time and evening looks.

On the official Stylenanda website, the product retails for $20 USD which is fairly around the average you pay for when it comes to liquid lipsticks.

The liquid lacquer claims to be non-sticky, long-lasting whilst having a moisturised and light feeling.

If you're not feeling a full-sized product, there are two mini kits available - #Red Attitude and #Editor Loves Pink

First Impressions

When I first swatched the product on my first, I immediately fell in love with the colour. It was definitely pigmented and was easily applied as it was smooth and silky.

Besides nudes and orange/peach hues, burgundy and plum colours some second and so you can see why I really loved the colour of the lip lacquer. Although application does come off a bit uneven, leaving some areas more transparent in comparison to others, you can easily fix that with a lip brush or even your finger tip with swipe on the colour.

Being a non-matte formula and more velvety in that sense, the liquid lacquer is not drying at all, but I would recommend using a lip balm under to maintain moisture, as with most lip products. Once the product begins to dry, it does tend to transfer quite a bit but rather than the sort of sticky transfer you get from normal lipsticks, it's more powdery/grainy. Regardless, due to its pigmentation it really does last a long time and given a certain period, the colour stops transferring.

Having worn this lip lacquer to my formal, it really did last the night and I noticed that it didn't transfer on anything, not my napkin or my glass.

Conclusion

With that being said, 3CE's Lip Lacquer lives up to its claims of being long-lasting and having a moisturised and light texture. Although it wasn't sticky, the product did have a powdery texture both on the lips and as transfer. However it seemed to lessen with the duration of the wear.

$20, in comparison to other liquid lipsticks that cost much more for the same quality, seems an appropriate price for the lip lacquer. Although there are one or two products that price even cheaper for the same quality.

But if you are like me who simply can't say no to 3CE, this product is worth the buy if you're looking for a lip colour for an all-day look.
